I met Mitch & Hannah at their best friends wedding a few months back now (Chris & Kristene, you may remember them!), and I instantly fell in love with Mitch’s “best man jokes” for the day .. little did I know that what would come out of it all would be novel-length back and forth emails written in ‘Ye Olde English’. Not to mention a barrage of awesome puns mixed with some tips on how to truly capture a couple session on Venice Beach that I did a few months previously, “ride a Venetian gondola along the beach, or even better, you should’ve gone to a Venetian blind store, or even BETTER, pretended to go blind on Venice Beach, therefore becoming ‘Venetian Blind’?!” …. Let’s just say, my mind was blown and I considered hiring him as my creative director then and there.
Mitch and Hannah had their own awesome ideas for their engagement session, too. They picked a spot at Burleigh Heads and let me loose. We found a cool little spot amongst the rocks, under a canopy of trees and had a casual game of Scrabble to break the ice … and then we went exploring! Finding a path that led off the side of a cliff (I say cliff as this adjective sounds far more impressive than ‘embankment’) and out to the surf. I absolutely loved spending the afternoon with these two and truly can’t wait to do it again — Thankyou for showing me yet another awesome spot that I had no idea existed. To say these two are good people, salt of the earth types, would be an understatement. And I can’t wait for their wedding. Bring it on! I just have to find a good ‘play-on-words’ shot for their wedding ….. pressure is on! Hmm.
